Support Worker - Ridgewood Lodge

Pay: £12.21 Per Hour

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.

Situated just a mile away from Ridgewood, Ridgewood Lodge is a six-bedroom supported living service for adults with learning disabilities or mental ill-health needs. As with Ridgewood, services include support with personal care, finances, work and college, and assistance with community accessibility.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

  • Provide emotional support and companionship.

  • Assisting with mobility and physical exercises tailored to residents' needs.

  • Engaging residents in meaningful social activities and promoting a positive environment.

  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 2 + years’ experience as a Care Assistant in for younger adults with Physical disabilities

  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding of patients needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care

  • Must be Moving & Handling Trained.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
