Activity Coordinator - Beechwood

Location: Huddersfield, HD2 2AH

Pay: £12.21 - 12.50 per hour   

Hours: 37.5 hours per week  / Monday – Sunday

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

We are seeking a enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team!

Beechwood is a grand Victorian villa set in the heart of Edgerton close to local parks and on the edge of the Peak District National Park. With 25 rooms, a well-maintained private garden and with the building retaining
many of its original features, the people we support enjoy the warm and stimulating environment we have created. With individual care at the heart of everything we do, we ensure that everyone has an input into their care plan and also the types of activities they enjoy so that everyone we support can live their fullest life possible.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Design and lead group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual needs

  • Encourage participation and build confidence through meaningful engagement

  • Work closely with care staff and clinical teams to support holistic care

  • Organise events, outings, and seasonal celebrations

  • Maintain records and contribute to care planning

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in a care or support setting (preferred)

  • Creative flair and a passion for helping others

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to motivate and engage individuals with diverse needs

  • Organised, flexible, and proactive approach
