Our Acute services can support people who are detained under the Mental Health Act, or who are admitted to hospital informally. People may access our acute service as a direct admission via their local NHS mental health hospital or community teams. This provides a seamless transition of care. We can support individuals experiencing difficulties due to a range of conditions including bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression, personality disorder and self-harm. We aim to prepare all service users for discharge straight back to their local community under the care of the community mental health team, or to the least restrictive environment appropriate to meet their own individual needs.
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Resident Doctor (Bank) to support our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
What You’ll be Doing
Conduct psychiatric assessments and contribute to care planning
Work closely with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals
Participate in ward rounds, MDT meetings, and clinical audits
Support the delivery of therapeutic interventions and risk management
What You Will Need
GMC registration with a licence to practise
Foundation training completed (or equivalent experience)
Interest in psychiatry or forensic mental health
Strong communication and teamwork skills
