We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to join our team and run the services!
Proactive Life is a care provider supporting people with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions who have complex needs. We deliver supported living services that enable people to live as independently as possible and achieve their personal goals. The role
You will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective, and compliant running of the service, ensuring CQC requirements are met and continuously improving quality with the aim of achieving an Outstanding rating. You will also play a key role in developing the service, maintaining occupancy, and supporting sustainable growth.
The role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend working and participation in the senior on-call rota.
Key responsibilities
· Act as the Registered Manager for the service, ensuring compliance with all CQC regulations and standards
· Lead and manage the service to deliver safe, effective, responsive, and well-led care
· Recruit, induct, train, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring high standards are maintained
· Promote re-ablement and person-centred approaches to support individuals to remain as independent as possible
· Set clear expectations for staff performance and service delivery
· Manage service operations, including planning, allocation of work, and maintaining accurate documentation
· Ensure appropriate staffing levels through proactive recruitment and workforce planning
· Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, and compliments in line with policy and statutory requirements
· Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and procedures, including health and safety, equality, dignity, and confidentiality
· Maintain accurate and professional paper and electronic records for staff and people supported
· Produce reports and maintain service data, including use of Civica or similar systems
· Use performance and quality data to drive improvement and support service development
· Work with senior management to maintain the Quality Management System, action plans, and risk registers
· Build and maintain effective relationships with commissioners, referrers, and partner organisations
· Lead assessments for new referrals and review outcomes regularly
· Maintain ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous improvement
Person specification
Essential:
· RMA, NVQ Level 4, QCF Level 5, or other recognised management qualification or be willing to work towards.
· Experience managing a supported living service for adults with Mental health, Learning disabilities and Autism.
· Strong understanding of CQC requirements and inspection processes
· Experience leading services to full compliance
· Experience of staff supervision, appraisals, performance management, and budget management
· Knowledge of rostering systems
· Well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
· Resilient and able to work under pressure
· Motivated to deliver a high-quality, safe, and efficient service
