Waterloo Manor Hospital is the largest female personality disorder service in the United Kingdom, providing specialized assessment and treatment for women with complex mental health needs.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Hospital HR and Payroll administrator to join our team!

Job Purpose

To provide efficient administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth delivery of HR processes across the hospital. To ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, maintaining payroll records and complying with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

HR/Payroll Administration

· Maintain and update employee records (contracts, personal details, absence records)

· Support recruitment processes (arranging interviews, onboarding)

· Prepare contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation

· Process starters, leavers, and changes to employment details

Payroll Processing

· Process weekly/monthly payroll, ensuring all payments are accurate

Compliance & Records

· Ensure HR files comply with data protection and confidentiality standards

· Maintain accurate HR databases and systems

· Support audits and reporting requirements

· Maintain accurate payroll records and systems

· Work with HR to ensure employee data is up to date

Employee Queries

· Respond to payroll-related enquiries (pay, deductions, payslips)

· Resolve discrepancies or issues efficiently

Person Specification

Essential

· Previous administrative experience

· Strong organisational and IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, HR systems)

· Good attention to detail and confidentiality

· Excellent communication skills

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable

· Experience in an HR environment

· Knowledge of HR processes
