Location: South Croydon CR2 6AA

Salary: £18,000 per Annum

Hours:  22.50 hours per week / Monday – Sunday

Job Type: Part Time, Permanent

Southleigh Community is a 27-bedded Hospital, specialises in individuals with complex mental health difficulties or stepping down from secure or acute settings.

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team! You will play a vital role in safeguarding the rights of patients detained under the Act and supporting clinical teams with legal and administrative processes.

 

What Youll be doing

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all MHA documentation

  • Ensure timely processing of detention paperwork, renewals, and tribunals

  • Liaise with clinical teams, legal representatives, and external bodies

  • Provide guidance and training on MHA procedures and compliance

  • Support audits and inspections related to MHA governance

What Youll Need

  • In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or legal setting

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Must have Ability to take comprehensive minutes

  • Provide Support to Management team

  • Must be Competent in Microsoft
