Sturdee Community Hospital is a dedicated service in Leicester, committed to providing holistic, personalised care for women aged 18–65 who have complex mental health needs. With 31 beds across two locked rehabilitation wards and nine semi-independent flats, we offer a supportive and structured environment in which every individual can work towards their recovery goals.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to our patients, helping them manage their mental health and achieve their personal recovery goals.

This is a full-time post (10 Programmed Activities) based at Sturdee InMind Hospital, a 30-bedded female Level 2 psychiatric rehabilitation unit specialising in Personality Disorders, for adults aged 18 years and above.

The post holder will deliver high-quality psychiatric care within a structured rehabilitation pathway, supporting service users with complex mental health needs, with a primary focus on Personality Disorder rehabilitation. Care is delivered within a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment, with security and support tailored to individual risk and need.

The aim of the rehabilitation, recovery, and re-socialisation programme is to support individuals to progress towards greater independence, reduced levels of support, and ultimately reintegration into the community or step-down placements.

The post holder will work as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, including psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and therapy services. They will support the Responsible Clinician (RC) in delivering safe, effective, and recovery-focused care and will contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service development in line with GMC standards, Mental Health legislation, and IHCM Group policies.
